Melissa Brown, CSAC

Chief Executive Officer

Melissa Brown serves as Chief Executive Officer of Conscious Healing and is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), bringing a passion for creating stronger pathways for individuals seeking recovery and a vision for building systems that address the whole person—not just the symptoms of substance use.

As a leader, mentor, and recovery advocate, Melissa is committed to challenging barriers that prevent people from accessing opportunities, support, and meaningful connection. Her work is centered on creating environments where people are treated with dignity, held accountable with compassion, and given opportunities to heal, grow, and discover what is possible for their lives.

At Conscious Healing, Melissa leads with the belief that lasting recovery requires healing at the root. She is passionate about trauma-first (sensitive) care that recognizes the connection between the mind, body, and spirit and helps participants better understand what has shaped them while developing the tools to move forward.
Her vision extends beyond treatment. Melissa is committed to building a collaborative recovery ecosystem that connects people with the resources they may need throughout their journey. Through partnerships with recovery housing, transportation resources, medical and mental health providers, peer and alumni support, workforce development, and community organizations, she believes recovery can become a pathway toward greater stability, independence, connection, and purpose.

For Melissa, healing at the root means creating the opportunity to address what lies beneath the behaviors and patterns that keep people stuck. Lasting freedom means moving beyond survival—developing the stability, connection, purpose, and confidence to build a life worth protecting.

Melissa’s vision for Conscious Healing is simple but ambitious: to help create pathways that move people from treatment to stability, from stability to purpose, and from purpose to lasting freedom.

Outside of work, Melissa treasures spending time with her husband, four grandchildren, and two dogs. She has a heart for serving others and is passionate about planting seeds that may help people come to know Jesus personally, reflecting the faith and sense of purpose that guide her own life.
