Christine Capshew, LCSW - Clinical Director

Christine Capshew, LCSW, is the Clinical Director of Conscious Healing and brings more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Throughout her career, she has provided direct clinical care while also developing programs, leading clinical teams, and supervising professionals who support individuals and families in their healing journeys.

Christine is passionate about helping people heal at the root of their struggles, reconnect with their authentic selves, and create lives that feel meaningful and whole. She has a particular passion for helping families reconnect and heal from the impact of trauma and for creating programs that inspire growth, resilience, and lasting change. As a clinical leader, she is committed to creating an environment where clinicians can provide strong, compassionate care grounded in a trauma-first approach.

Christine believes that when we lose touch with our authentic selves, we can develop unhealthy ways of coping and self-soothing. For her, recovery is not simply about changing behaviors or stopping substance use—it is about recovering ourselves.

Healing creates an opportunity to reconnect with who we truly are, develop healthier ways of caring for ourselves, strengthen our relationships, and move toward a full and authentic life.
For Christine, healing at the root means looking beyond symptoms and behaviors to understand the experiences, wounds, relationships, and patterns that may be underneath them. Lasting freedom means developing the awareness, connection, and inner strength to make choices that are aligned with who we are and the life we want to create.

Christine holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is trained in EMDR and Shadow Work. She is also an Interfaith Minister and has completed two years of advanced trauma training. Her approach reflects Conscious Healing’s commitment to caring for the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spirit.

Outside of her professional work, Christine enjoys gardening, photography, cooking, working out, and reading. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs and cats.
