Our Facilitators: This weekend is designed to support your relationship with yourself. As such, you are the most important facilitator for your journey during the Women’s “Wilderness Weekend. Conscious Healing Staff will be available and provide a safe space to allow you to facilitate your weekend in the way that best serves you. To create that safe space, Thomas and Christine Capshew will be available to support your needs. Learn more about them!
Do you ever wish you could go “off the grid” to spend time alone and feel safe doing it?
Do you have the skills and knowledge to find your center but often feel pulled in too many directions? If so, the Women’s “Wilderness” Weekend (“WWW”) might be just the thing for you!
For many of us, nothing helps us feel balanced and connected to the Source of our being like solo camping. Laying on the Great Mother, surrounded by trees and vegetation with no one to be responsible for other than ourself is great medicine! Men have the privilege of doing this whenever they make the time in part simply because they are a male. Our species has created a world where women do not always feel safe by themselves in the wild. We all can learn the skills to care for ourselves in the wild, but past experiences may have left you uncertain about your safety.
The WWW is designed for up to 6 women to “solo camp” while Conscious Healing staff hold the space for safety and support nearby. We will travel to the Elizabeth Furnace Family Campground in the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest in Shenandoah County Virginia, nestled in the Shenandoah Mountains. Cell phone service is spotty at best, but there are flush toilets and hot showers available. We help outfit those who need tents, sleeping pads, and sleeping bags. Staff will have food tailored to your dietary restrictions, with water, tea and coffee available. The trip includes light breakfast and lunch, and a hot dinner each evening. We will have a common campfire each evening you can join or not. Also included as needed are bug spray, journals, art supplies and trail maps for exploring the trails and the river nearby. Designed as a “solo” trip, you will be encouraged and supported in spending time with, and deepening your relationship with, yourself. Spiritual Mentoring or Energy Work will also be available if requested.
Usui Reiki Level 1 Training
April 22
We are alive because we have a beautiful, vibrant life force flowing though us. This life force flows through our physical body through pathways called chakras and meridians and it flows around us in a field of energy called the aura.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field and causes the negative energy to fall away. Reiki clears, strengthens and heals the energy pathways, allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.
We are all born with the innate capacity to heal. Allowing ourselves to connect to the ‘healer’ within offers a wonderful way to deepen your connection to yourself, your family, friends and clients. Reiki is a non-invasive, peaceful and powerful form of energy healing.
During Reiki Level 1 training, individuals will learn the history of Reiki and understand the basics of the human energy field. Participants will discover the importance of creating sacred space and develop the ability to focus intention for the purpose of healing. During the course individuals will practice basic Reiki techniques on individuals and learn important self care techniques. After receiving the four Level 1 attunements individuals will receive a Reiki Level 1 practitioner certificate and a manual.
